The idea of a hybrid version of the first Porsche Cayenne appeared well over a year ago, but now things seem to be firmly in place. At Melbourne Auto show this week, Porsche's Australian managing director Michael Winkler revealed that a hybrid Cayenne is hitting the streets in 2009 and it will be available in Australia. Winkler also said that the system is designed to work with an engine for the Cayenne range, rather than being limited to one. This means a hybrid Cayenne Turbo came with the V-6 and NA V-8 models. The hybrid will be coupled with all-wheel drive system and will not be offered in all other models, but if it were, the Panamera seems a likely candidate, especially given the DCX / BMW hybrid announcement yesterday.
Many
Porsche enthusiasts are unfortunate with the company for producing this
merry looking SUV and see it as diluting the meaning of the mark.
According to wheels a good-regarded Australian automagazine, the
decision, was to the Cayenne peppers to develop a contentious for the
company for this reason. Management felt allegedly however that the
company a more reliable source of the income than the inconsistant
sport automarket needed. Much disapproving of the Porsche owners come
from the common development of the car with Volkswagen. Although the
Cayenne pepper and Touareg are firm SUVs in the market today, many
believe that the Cayenne pepper would be superior in many departments,
if it develops only by Porsche. Some it believe that the Touareg is a
better accomplished car, which is present for substantially fewer
moneys. British driving journalist Jeremy Clarkson set it: „It is not a
bad car and in various regard is it a very good, but straight there no
white spirits camp the objective defeated, do such a Porsche off more
roader. Can you present jeeps you, producing a rear engined sport car?
Exactly “.
The new V6 liter from Volkswagen-originating the 3.6 is equipped with the Cayenne pepper models low lately presented. The new engine can provide 216 kilowatts, modifications in the exhaust manifold make it possible the engine to make a point with 6700 t/mn. The wheels of alloy of 17 inches (smaller in the Cayenne pepper line) contributes to the car being slightly softer on the road helping the conditions of luxury for this type of vehicle. The interior is an interior much more fundamental and this calls into question the feasibility of the label of the prices for this type of car. The Cayenne pepper comes standard with rims from alloy of 17 “- 21” sizes and a variety of models. Cayenne pepper the less-expensive model comes standard with the 17 “from the rims, but has the cability to improve to the four 18” - 21 “rims the ones Des. a tire of all-season is standard on the 17” rim, and available like option No-cost for 18 “rims. In fact the wheels are adapted for the use of with the far-road/snow. the Low-profile, of the tires of high output are standard for wheels above 19”. These tires would not be appropriate for the use of for the far-road/snow. Porsche/Volkswagen jointly did it with the wide far-road examining with the Cayenne pepper and Touareg and really both are not with the so able far-road though. The two vehicles come standard with the order from 4 wheels, a central differential manually vérouillable and an arrangement of “low range”. Options to make it with the far-road able vehicles to include a system available of suspension of air which can raise the size of the tower of the car on the order and an interior switch making it possible the back differential to be manually closed with key with the central processing unit. To the maximum height of turn, the system of suspension of air gives to the Cayenne pepper 10.7 inches (272 millimetres) of release on the ground. Competence, however, comes at a cost, with the model of V8 of “S” (62mph in 6.9sec) being more expensive and not being as quickly as V8 BMW X5 (62mph in 6.4), and turbocharged the cost models almost US$90,200 before adding options, approximately as much as a S-Class of Mercedes-Benz actuated by V8. The rivals of the Cayenne pepper in terms of cost and prestige is the Land Rover Range Rover, and BMW X5. The Mr.-Class and Audi Q7 of Mercedes-Benz are missing regrettably to this distinction.
